“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers” – Anne of Green Gables

Sitting at Scandï Tiny Coffee, Abigayle’s eyes lit up as we began to talk about her love for autumn, a love deeply shared between us. “I want a photo session in the fall leaves,” she expressed. After our meeting, I wholeheartedly started planning her and Malcolm’s autumn photo session on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Although autumn colors are never completely predictable, we aimed for the best foliage times, and gosh, we were blessed with the brightest autumn colors.

In the weeks leading up to their session, I made multiple trips to the Blue Ridge Mountains for autumn photos. It was an awe-inspiring experience to witness the leaves transitioning from yellows to oranges to reds each week. 

Abi and Malcolm caught the peak of the colors, boldly showing off for their session. We explored different lookouts along the Parkway, ventured into the roads framed by beautiful trees, and shared stories as we drove up the mountains. As a photographer, October is the month I eagerly anticipate, especially for autumn couples’ sessions like this one on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
